Hair starting point

Hey guys, I wanted to post a pic collage of my hair(as bad as it is.) the pictures don't even began to show all the damage I have😓😔. I have come to the conclusion that I might have to cut my hair. The damage is to severe ; no deep conditioner, oil, or moisturizer could fix how bad it is.
I took some pictures of the side, crown, bangs, and where my hair falls. I already posted a picture of the back of my hair. This is a constant reminder of why chemicals and my hair don't mix. I tried to save my hair, but there is no saving this. Oh well, it's just hair it'll grow back. I am going to post my plans for my hair tomorrow. Here is some inspiration for me to have patience because its worth it in the end!

I failed once.....but I don't plan on failing again.

Hey guys, I recently failed on something, you guessed it. Transitioning! I gave in into the creamy crack after my last, last wash day. I couldn't take all the new growth and I didn't take out the time to really take care of my hair. Hair is hair and there will be more new growth to come. This time around I need to do three things: keep it simple, listen to my hair, and have patience! I need to stop making empty promises to my self and I need to keep thinking realistically about what to expect out of my hair. When I wasn't  doing that, I set my self up for failure. So it will be more posts on natural and transitioning hair, and there WILL be an inspiration page full of women with gorgeous hair. I WILL NOT listen to others (My step mom Chanel) that doubt my hair growing abilities.Length is not everything but health is!

no more of these...

but more of these.....  (better quality, of course)

and a VERY simple regimen that will be in my regimen tab and the style tab....DONE! I will just keep my
hair in simple buns and ask my very talented aunt to help me with "curly" hair styles once I have a lot of new growth. It's time that I get my hair in shape and once it is, I can have soo many options with it! For this day forth, I promise to take care of my hair! ( official start of healthy hair journey)

Length check July 15, 2013

Hair description:
Brittle
Thin
Short

I hope by the end of the year the description of my hair ); also I kinda sorta maybe regret relaxing my hair );

Please leave comments to encourage me

Monday,July 15

1.
I mixed honey, olive oil, and coconut oil in a bowl and warmed it up for ten seconds. I applied it to my hair(very sticky !) and left it on over night. ( I never leave any type of treatment in over night but my head was hurting so I didn't feel like washing it out.

2.
I rinsed out the honey treatment and overall I think it was worth the hassle. My hair felt soft and it looked really shiny( even though it was still wet.) Next I shampooed and squeezed any excess water from my hair and applied my extra deep conditioner(used it all up today). I also applied coconut oil to my ends. This week I am using a moisturizing deep conditioner because last week I used a protein one. I sat under the dryer for 30 minutes, allowed my hair to cool for 10 minutes, then rinsed.

3.
Next I applied a leave in and oil. I air dried   100% and detangled my hair.

This wash day was quick and easy. I also plan on doing a length check with flat ironed hair today to kick off my challenge.
Ill do a post on that next. Thx

Wash Day- Saturday July 6

Hey guys, for the first time today I am taking you through my wash day. My mom took down my box braids after 1 month and I had so much build up/lint! I knew that detangling and washing was going to be super hard but it had to be done. Without further ado, lets get started.

1. I lightly detangled with a wide tooth comb.(I know in my Hair Regimen A, I said I would finger detangle but a comb was the only way. I then divided my hair into four and secure them with clips.

2. I did a hot oil treatment, contrasting on my ends, edges, and scalp. I did a light scalp massage and put a bag over my head. While I waited I played with my sister, Maya and watched my favorite show, Law and Order:SVW.

3. Next, I rinsed the hot oil treatment out and the struggle begin. I was finished clarifying my hair when I noticed that it was still lint in my hair! I ended up shampooing my a hair a total of five times when the usual is two. Even then it was still lint in my hair. I then used my Suave Naturals, to lightly detangle my hair because it was a tangled, dry mess! (Let me say,I love this rinise-out! It made my hair so soft!)

4. I applied my DIY Extra Deep conditioner and went under the dryer. As I was under the dryer, I watched a few YouTube videos, talked to my sister, and stared at the wall. I stayed under the dryer for 15 mintues, let my hair cool for 10 then I rinsed.

5. I wrapped my hair in my turbie towel for a few minutes. I then applied my diy leave in and Got2b Oil by sections and banded my hair. I applied Castor oil to my edges and nape because 1)they are the driest parts of my hair 2)I am working on growing them out. Once I got done banding, I had a total of 7 bands. I also applied some more got2b oil to each section.

6.(I most definitely am going to have to use some type of protein in my hair next week, because it's stretching too much and snapping like twigs!) It was so late that I decided to go to bed and finish my hair in the morning.
*update. Got up in the middle of the night and blow dried my hair. I placed my hair in a bun and tied it down.
I promise my next was day won't be so long. lol
(sorry, didn't take any pictures)
